How Slowing Down Can Help You To Be More Productive

YOU are your most valuable asset and burnout serves no one!

When you have a to do list as long as your arm, the last thing you want to do is slow down. It seems counter intuitive right? But it’s the one thing that most of us NEED to do.

When you work all day and have other responsibilities life becomes a balancing act. Balance is the KEY word here.

The thing is, you don’t have the time NOT to take care of yourself because you don’t have the time to feel like crap.

It all comes down to your mindset and two of the most common thought patterns we create are;

1) I don’t have time to slow down and take care of myself

2) I’m too tired and I don’t feel like it

The first step is recognising that these are just thought patterns and they don’t actually define you. Acknowledge the thought and then choose to move past it. Once you get past that initial hurdle, no one ever regrets slowing down enough to take a yoga class or go for a run or make a healthy meal.

And the icing on the cake is that on top of it making you feel great, slowing down actually makes you MORE productive. Having a calm and focused mind is where you do your greatest work.
